I have had the honor of working closely with Dr. Gupta. My colleagues and I are really impressed by her work and her commitment to human rights. Dr. Gupta initiated several new human rights projects including a project to hold financial institutions accountable for policies that impoverish and in debt nations in the south and another project to document violations of women’s right to health. Dr. Gupta is not only a tireless advocate for economic and social justice, and an excellent medical doctor she is also a professional with integrity and high ethical standards.
